Moi Tours Transport Company is a new business Transport Company whose purpose is to give out reliable, timely and safe transport service in Sierra Leone based in Freetown –Western Area Urban. Moi Tours Transport Company shall be providing complete transport service using the latest equipment and system to facilitate the travel of individuals in the Western Area of Freetown and provincial areas of the country .The company’s would-be service indicate that it is an innovative , forward thinking company that recognizes the need to move with the ever changing customer’s needs .The company’s idea is one that emphasizes service and a realization to effective communication which is a key aspect in Moi Tours Transport Company .The Company also realizes that in a competitive environment, flexibility and professionalism maintain that leading edge.
The company will carter for four drivers, one maintenance person, and four conductors that are helpful, courteous, and fully trained on the use of vehicles, the company’s added advantage safety measure for both the drivers, passengers and conductors to be tracked and located in an emergency. All Moi Tours Transport Company vehicles will be cleaned, well maintained and inspected regularly for safety and comfort.
The company’s strategy is to build reputation and trust by establishing the business offering a viable alternative to existing transport companies in the country .The company’s goal in the next year is to pursue an aggressive persuasive campaign to commuters by offering high quality service to them; and from that, penetrate at least 60-65% of the population in the country. Their weaknesses are that they don’t have a specialized maintenance persons that are fully dedicated to give all their best to the job, and they don’t on board direct passengers instead they take passengers who are traveling on short distances (which is commonly referred to as ‘half ways’ in the country) while those going to longer distances would be demanded to pay excess money to reach their final destinations. Some don’t use effective communication and also allow passengers to fight to on board a vehicle which has caused dissatisfaction to customers. Most drivers and conductors are very rude to passengers. However, due to the preference that will be given to passengers and the good communication skills of the company’s drivers, conductors, maintenance/repair service to provide timely service by giving an accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA) and departure and this will help the company to gain more passengers over the other transport companies in the country. Besides, the convenience of passengers will be a premium for the company and hence this will help to attract more customers for the company.
Effective communications are essential under all circumstances in this business. As such Moi Tours Transport Company will use radio, TV; social media to assure communications will be maintained under the most rigorous conditions. The company will establish a head office in Freetown for any other information.
