Prince Boadu is the Co-founder and chief executive officer at MapTech Logistics Limited. In 2010, Prince completed his undergraduate education at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana focusing on business technology. He received a Master’s in Business Administration from the same University in logistics and supply chain management.
Prince’s enterprise, MapTech Logistics Limited, leverages the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to solve business problems by developing and deploying GIS-based applications. Using visualisation technologies the software helps the delivery of goods and services in efficient and cost-effective ways, MapTech also allows the overcoming of unique geographical challenges e.g. mapping an area in times of disaster. Serving both the private and public sector, Prince’s technology provides mapping for strategic and tactical geospatial analysis. The success of MapTech was showcased in 2016 when it was featured in a World Bank documentary on accelerating tech innovation business in Ghana.
Prince is committed to promoting entrepreneurship. Another of his ventures, Kumasi Hive, focuses on helping other entrepreneurs by accelerating their research and development. The organization is especially innovative as it has marked a departure from the software centered hubs in Ghana to a more physical environment. Currently, Prince serves as a senior supply chain specialist for the Procter & Gamble in Darmstadt, Germany where his work in the Consumer Health division is focused on the Middle East & Africa cluster. He is also an active member of GhanaThink Foundation.
Prince has been recognized by a variety of publications for his successful ventures; shortlisted on Forbes Africa 30 under 30 in 2016, invited as a speaker as one of 40 emerging leaders from four continents across the Atlantic basin in Morocco in 2015, and one of ten entrepreneurs from Ghana invited to attend the Ye! Boost Camp Pitching event in Amsterdam at the launch of the Ye! Community.
